European Breads

There’s nothing quite like making your own bread – It’s the physicality of kneading your own dough and the great smell as your loaf bakes that makes the finished product so satisfying and delicious! By making your own bread, you’ll control exactly what goes into it, and you can be much more imaginative in your flavours than expensive artisan bakeries ever will!

Each day-long course starts with an informal introduction to baking covering all the ingredients, science and techniques you’ll need to know. We’ll then move into our kitchen and you’ll work together in a small group (maximum of 6 people) with plenty of opportunity to ask questions, practice all the necessary techniques, and – of course – taste the products of your labours! There will be full hands-on instruction and you’ll leave with bread cooked on the day as well as plenty of hints, tips and recipes to enhance your home baking.

A passionate baker, Chris will help you develop your baking skills and have fun whilst baking a range of fantastic flavourful European breads. Classes start at 10:30 with tea or coffee and finish no later than 16:00.  No previous baking experience is required and you won’t need to bring anything but your strongest kneading muscles!

Seasonal Cookery

Fed up of watery strawberries and flavourless tomatoes flown thousands of miles round the globe to the supermarket shelves? So are we. This day will take the very best of the amazing produce this region has to offer and showcase it in ways that will make your mouth water.

We’ll scour the local markets and farm shops for the best ingredients and cook a meal together that’s in harmony with the seasonal harvest.  It’s impossible to know for sure what we’ll cook until the day, but it'll be delicious!

Each day-long course will start at 11:00 with tea, coffee and an informal introduction. We’ll then move into our kitchen and you’ll work together in a small group (maximum of 6 people) with plenty of opportunity to ask questions, practice all the necessary techniques, and – of course – taste the products of your labours!
